A decadent feast for the heart and soul, To Free the Rising Storm is the spellbinding dark romantic fantasy debut from author C.N. Maxwell. Book one of The ReEmergence Chronicles transports readers to a world drenched in history to embark on a journey of profound metamorphosis. Maxwell pens a stunning tale of weathering the storm and being reborn into something…more. Love. Loss. Betrayal. Pain. Family. Fate. It’s dazzling and tragic in equal measure, and one of the best debuts I’ve had the pleasure of reading.
A spellbinding tale of magic, heartache and a love that transcends death, Fractured Shadows is a captivating standalone dark fantasy romance novel from authors K.A. Knight and Kendra Moreno. Readers embark on an arduous journey to heal the fractured land, in turn restoring the peace amongst all. This was my why choose monster story, as well as my first read from Moreno, and I immediately developed an overwhelming craving for more.
In a post-apocalyptic world where tyranny and medieval torture reign supreme and witch burnings are an everyday occurrence, a top Witchfinder must confront the very Church he serves when he learns of its dark past and twisted plans for the future.

So, this first book in his The Dark Oak Chronicles series is definitely towards the top of my to-read list. I cannot wait to hear what everyone thinks of this one, so stay tuned for a fantastic week ahead!

Last year we had the pleasure of showing off his debut novel, Divinity’s Twilight: Rebirth, one that was received quite well with our Roadies, and we jumped at the chance to do the same with this bite-sized morsel of an adventure. Welcome to the Kickoff of the Dreams of the Dying Book Tour presented by Storytellers On Tour! We’re always told to never judge a book by its cover, but I mean…look at that cover! As soon as I spotted it along with its gripping blurb, I knew this was a book that I desperately needed in my life with its promise of everything I look for in a dark fantasy tale. For all you fans of Grimdark Fantasy and/or Psychological Horror with a bit of mystery thrown into the mix, be sure to stay tuned throughout this upcoming week as we showcase Nicolas Lietzau’s chonker of a novel, Dreams of the Dying, book one of the Enderal series. I have been waiting for this day to come and it’s finally here. You know when you read a book that it just SO GOOD, you desperately need to tell everyone about it? For me it’s A Ritual of Flesh by Lee C Conley. I already had a chance to shout about it from the rooftops last year when I got to read this gem of a book (you can check out my review here), but I’m thrilled I get to do it again.
Today I’m beyond excited to kick off The Goddess of Nothing At All Book Tour presented by Storytellers On Tour! This upcoming week we’ll be showcasing Cat Rector’s dark fantasy/Norse retelling debut, a book I’ve heard nothing but wonderful things about. Those of you that know me also know I’m incapable of saying no to Norse flavored stories, and this one sounds right up my alley. And it also helps that Cat is one of the most awesome authors I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I’m very much looking forward to hearing what others think of this story of hers, so stay tuned, it’s going to be a busy and amazing week.
