Storytellers On Tour has given me the opportunity to meet and work with so many incredible authors from the indie SFF community, and today is no exception! It’s an absolute honor to welcome author Sean R. Bell to the blog for the official Kickoff of The Secret of the Sword Book Tour. So, what makes The Grandfather Chronicles Trilogy so special? Take cherished personal memories and combine them with flavors of Arthurian legend, and you have the makings of a unique story ready to branch out into the world. I don’t know about you, but I LOVE tales of King Arthur and his knights, retellings, twists, all of it! What are some of your favorite legends?
Over the last few years there has been an incredible month-long celebration of the self-publishing community, and this past September I spotted a beautiful book that quickly landed on my TBR. I can’t tell you how thrilled I was when author Brianna da Silva reached out to chat about said book, City of Reckoning. If you’re in the market for an epic fantasy tale led by unconventional non-human MCs and a sprawling, rich world, then maybe this chonker of a book is just the one you’re looking for. Welcome to the Kickoff of the Dark Oak Book Tour presented by Storytellers On Tour! Today I’m thrilled to take part in showing Jacob Sannox’s dark epic fantasy novel a bit of love, even if it’s just for a spotlight for now. I’m already familiar with Sannox’s work as I’ve read and thoroughly enjoyed The Ravenmaster’s Revenge, which I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys Arthurian Fantasy with a twist. So, this first book in his The Dark Oak Chronicles series is definitely towards the top of my to-read list. I cannot wait to hear what everyone thinks of this one, so stay tuned for a fantastic week ahead!
